A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 1992, I began treating a private practice clientele in 1990 when I was an intern.
I have worked as a therapist and counselor for a community mental health clinic, a foster family reunification program, and a K-8 school. I have trained interns and taught therapy and counseling in a university graduate program.
Since 1971 I have practiced meditation, tai chi, and chi gong.
My approach is client-centered. That is, I prefer to work collaboratively with people rather than assume an authority role in our work. In my view, enduring change comes from within the client. I see my role as facilitating and empathically guiding clients to empower their intentions for better outcomes by making more conscious choices
